- Antibody Test: This test looks for antibodies to HIV in your bodily fluids.
- Antigen Test: This test collects a blood sample from your vein and tests it for antigens as well as antibodies. A rapid antigen test can be done from a fingertip too.
- Nucleic Acid Test (NAT): The NAT uses a blood sample from your vein. It looks for the actual virus in the blood.
